Kinetics and polarity of the transverse acoustoelectric effect in the separated-medium surface acoustic wave configuration

Popis: The spectral behaviour of the kinetics and polarity of the transverse acoustoelectric voltage in the separated-medium surface acoustic wave configuration is studied experimentally. It is shown that the polarity of the effect can be different for one and the same type of conductivity in agreement with a recent theoretical study. Two types of transient characteristics are revealed and explained on the basis of a simplified equivalent circuit. Indications are given on possible spurious effects of the external measurement circuitry.
