Popis: | Interaction of Cimetidine drug (CIM) with π-acceptors as Tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) and 7,7′,8,8′-Tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), chloranilic acid (H2CA) picric acid (HPA) resulted through the initial formation of ionic intermediate to charge transfer (CT) complex which detected by spectroscopic studies. The molar ratio was found to be 1:1 between cimetidine drug and different acceptor. The formed CT complexes have been characterized using various techniques such as the elemental analyses, UV–Vis., IR, and 1H NMR spectra, and thermal analyses (TG, DTG). The antibacterial activity of the complexes were estimated. |
