This article discusses the legal doctrine of the famous Austrian economist Friedrich August Hayek. Its author’s assessment is given, in which special attention is paid to the position of the scientist in relation to the interaction of law and economics. The article emphasizes that Hayek assigned a significant place in his research to the general principles of law. It is concluded that Hayek paid the main attention to freedom, which to a certain extent was absolutized. Next, in importance, the scientist singled out legality, then equality, a very original interpretation of justice, and the principles of humanism and democracy were clearly underestimated. |
