Popis: Uterine fibroids may be present in up to 80% of women and are the most common benign indication for hysterectomy. Symptoms related to fibroids can vary tremendously and depend on the number, size, and location of fibroids, as well as the patient’s hormonal status. Several different treatment options are available for fibroids. A variety of factors, such as a patient’s symptoms, age, reproductive goals, and medical comorbidities, help determine which treatment is best for each patient.
