effective business process management, which optimizes the allocation of internal resources of the enterprise by attracting external service providers. The study of thecontent of works of scientists who studied the concept of outsourcing as a phenomenon, the feasibility of its implementation and scope, concludes that most scientistsfocus on theoretical aspects and characteristics of the introduction of outsourcing in certain processes of industrial enterprises.A study of existing definitions of outsourcing led to the conclusion that at this time there is no single, well-established definition that would find support in mostscientists and researchers. The following definition of this concept is offered for wide use. Outsourcing is the involvement of an enterprise on the terms of a long-termagreement of production resources of other enterprises in order to perform non-core or inefficient for this production functions (works, services). This definitionallows, first, to identify the main task of outsourcing (attracting production resources of other enterprises); secondly, focuses on non-core functions for the enterprise(these functions are performed much better by the outsourcer); thirdly, it identifies inefficient areas of activity of the enterprise (lack of relevant specialists, importantbut small type of work, etc.).It is proved that in the global structure of the outsourcing services market the largest share is occupied by business process outsourcing (about 35%), which is due tothe development of this sector of the outsourcing services market and minimal risk compared to production outsourcing. The second place is occupied by IToutsourcing (30%), and the third - production outsourcing (14%). It is proposed to define the concept of IT outsourcing as providing the function of servicing the ITinfrastructure of an industrial enterprise to another enterprise that specializes in information services for enterprises and organizations and has a staff of highlyqualified specialists in the field of information technology. |
