Popis: | 1. Optimum methods are found for hot-pressing moldings of lanthanum hexaboride for preparing thermocathodes for the resonator of a powerful high-current microtron. 2. An original method of support for the thermocathode in the microtron resonator is developed, and optimum operating conditions are established for the thermocathode, permitting the production of 70 mA of electrons accelerated in the microtron to 30 MeV, with a service life of over 500 h. 3. Recommendations are given for ensuring normal operation of a microtron with a lanthanum hexaboride cathode. |
