This work presents results of studies carried out to implement the cooling in photovoltaic panels to improve their energy efficiency. In the experiments demonstrated, instantaneous power and temperature measurements were performed in two photovoltaic panels, where one of the panels was subjected to a cooling process with application of reuse water on its front surface, while in the other panel under its natural conditions (Without cooling) was analyzed as the same variables. In the panel with cooling different water flows were applied and in the end, comparative analysis of the results in the two panels were made to know the best flow and also the viability of the implementation of the cooling in a larger system. The results showed that lower flow rates in the cooling system increase the cost-benefit relation with the efficiency of the panels. For the experimentally used flux values it is possible to obtain a power gain of the photovoltaic panels of up to 11.99%. |
