Radio Wave Diffraction on Ledge-like Underlying Surface

Popis: The influence of a ledge-like underlying surface on the behaviour of Hertz dipole pattern is considered in the area far from the ledge. Vertically spaced surfaces, which form the ledge, are supposed to be ideally conducting. Strict task solution of spherical wave diffraction on an ideally conducting half-plane is used. The results of numerical investigations relative to the field values of two sources on a ledge-like surface are in a good agreement with the experimental data, received in flight test.
