Popis: In any electrical circuit network, the circuitry that provides a path between the parts of the circuit and the ground is known as the grounding system. The study of earth resistance is considered very significant in designing an electrical network of commercial, residential, and industrial areas. A low resistance path is provided by the grounding system for the fault and lightning currents to maintain the safe potential concerning the zero potential. The single-phase to ground fault (LG) is considered the most common fault in the power system. It accounts for 98 % of all failures and the phase-to-phase and three-phase faults are responsible for 1.5 and 0.5 % of all failures respectively. This study focuses on the effect of adding ground enhancement material to the grounding system. Based on the result, it was found that the addition of bentonite to these grounding system soils can effectively reduce soil resistivity and grounding resistance. Furthermore, the result shows that the decrement ground potential rise, step, touch, and Surface Potentials.
