Relationship of the life of rolled plate to criteria of fatigue failure

Popis:	The spread in life of elements of welded structures of St. 3sp steel taking into consideration various criteria of completion of fatigue tests was investigated using the results of large-scale tests of specimens with a rolled surface in the presence of stress concentration. It was shown that the influence of the criteria used on the average values of cyclic life in the area of limited life is reflected by the practically parallel shift in the fatigue curves. The variation coefficient of the logarithm of cyclic life does not depend upon the criteria of the limiting condition and reveals a tendency toward an increase with a decrease in the levels of loading.
