Popis:	A comparative analysis is made of two methods of determining the force parameters in the extrusion of tubes made of stainless steels and alloys. Results are presented from calculations of the parameters for the extrusion of tubes of alloy EI 943 on the press lines in heating-and-rolling shop No. 2 at the Volzhskii Pipe Plant. Conclusions are made as to the nature and usefulness of the two methods for calculating the force parameters of the extrusion operation.
