Popis:	The current qualification status of the Ariane 5 SCA - Systeme Controle d'Attitude - 400 N monopropellant hydrazine thruster developed on ESA funding under CNES responsibility is presented. The qualification status is mainly based on several qualification tests and analysis over the time since the initial development. In this paper an overview representing the most important steps are presented. The ongoing qualification testing and performance analyzing is c onfirming the quality and the flexibility of the design with respect to performance envelope and mission profile requirements. All efforts are performed within Astrium supported by CNES and Arianespace aiming to increase the product reliability. New analysis methods were introduced to improve a stateof -the-art confidence level.
