Popis: | An integrated optical difference (or polarimetric) interferometer has been used for real-time monitoring of protein adsorption on an SiO 2 —TiO 2 waveguide surface. The different adsorption behaviours of avidin, NeutrAvidin and streptavidin are studied. The affinity reactions between the different immobilized (adsorbed) avidin molecules as receptors and biotinylated bovine serum albumin (BSA) molecules as ligands are also monitored. Subnanomolar concentrations of biotinylated BSA can be selectively detected. Lower limits for the adsorption and reaction constants are determined. |
