Popis: | This paper extensively explores and highlights the main issues, concepts and trends related to steel surface image features extraction and representation methods. These methods are widely used in the past years to identify the surface texture and surface detects in several industrial fields. The different analysis techniques used to extract features from steel surface images for the purpose of classification are also explored. Furthermore, this study aims to identify the research gap in steel surface inspection domain by reviewing the previous related works of visual inspection methods and exploring their main outcomes, limitations and how they are solved in their fields. |
