The subject of the master's dissertation is «Formation of linguistic and methodological competence of foreign students major in "Linguistics». Research is devoted to the problem of linguistic and methodological competence formation and its content. We study case method models to form this competence among foreign students learning Russian as a foreign language. The research set the following goals: 1. To study peculiarities of foreign students adaptation to the new educational environment. 2. To define the content of linguistic and methodological competence. 3. To consider the main components that make up the linguistic and methodological competence. 4. To formulate methodological principles of linguistic and methodological competence development. 5. To develop case method that allows forming linguistic and methodological competence. 6. To organize the approbation of the case-technology and analyze the results. The study was conducted among foreign students learning Russian as a foreign language to identify the positive dynamics of the linguistic and methodological competence formation by introducing case technologies into the educational process. Calculations made during the research showed the gradual development of a number of competencies (methodological, linguistic, socio-cultural, strategic, professional and communicative). The analysis of the competencies and skills formation was carried out by the means of primary testing, case models development on 3 language aspects (grammar, vocabulary, phonetics) and lesson plans modeled by foreign students at the final stage of the case technology approbation. As a result, the case-technology was analyzed, which can contribute to more effective linguistic and methodological competencies formation among future teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Developed case models contributing to the achievement of the tasks set included problematic situations directly related to their professional activities. |
