Popis: We investigated the usefullness of ultrasonography (US) for rotator cuff tears. During the last nine years (1990-1998), we perfomed US on 101 patients (102 shoulders) who had undergone shoulder US prior to surgery and arthroscopy. Their ages ranged from 32 to 83 years, with a mean age of 56.7 years. Toshiba SONOLAYER SSA-270A (7.5MHz, 1990-93), Yokokawa RT-2000 (7.5MHz, 1993-96) and Yokokawa ROGIQ700MR (10MHz, 1996-98) were used.
