Children with impaired cognitive development: Complex assessment and intervention

Popis: Our study provides results of complex assessment of 500 children (300 boys and 200 girls aged from 4 to 12 years) with impaired cognitive development. Main perinatal and postnatal risk factors were identified. It was concluded that complex assessment (including medical history; physiological and neurophysiological examination; clinical, neurophysiological, ultrasonic, duplex and magnetic resonance scanning) allows to determine the main predictors of cognitive dysfunctions, key strengths and weaknesses in child’s individual development and to develop effective individual intervention programs.
