Popis: | Recent development of experimental techniques for fluid flow analysis can give useful knowledge in the design of fluid machinery or its elements. PIV is one of the typical new techniques for experimental analysis of complicated fluid flows, but normally it can be only applied to two-dimensional velocity field measurement. Even though PIV is a two-dimensional technique, the results obtained are useful to understand and to analyze 3D flow field. In this report, the 3D flow in a curved duct as a model of a heater-unit of automobile air-conditioner is experimentally investigated by using PIV system. The results of time-mean velocity vector diagrams indicate the fundamental characteristics of the flow in the duct, which can be used to the design of heater-unit. |
