Popis: | The goal of a marriage is to achieve a peace and tranquility of life, foster love, preserve self-purity, carry out the demands of the Shari'ah, and take care of the offspring and is the best way to develop children's education. However, the family’s life is often hit by typhoons of life which require the skipper to drive efficiently, decently, and patiently to get to his destination safely. The mixed marriage among Mualaf is also inseparable from this challenge and conjecture. This study aims to look at the challenges of intermarriage practices in the family environment of Mualaf in Malaysia. This study was interviewing 20 Muslim converts in Malaysia from different locations. The results of the study found that Muslim converts face various challenges in surviving the family. Among the challenges faced by the new convert are facing resistance and a cold relationship with the original family; a frosty relationship with the Muslim family of origin, has failed to understand the Malay language well, the challenges of finance, education, child negligence difficulties in obtaining religious education. This study is significant because it reveals the real challenges that occur among the mualaf community in Malaysia in the context of intermarriage.
