Popis: In ever-changing world circumstances, the role of information technology has become more prominent. Implementation of e-Learning began with a focus on infrastructure; this focus is now changing toward the experiences of users (Adams and Morgan, International Journal on e-Learning, 6:157–185, 2007). The role of the information technology department in organizations is also changing as we continue to depend heavily on information technology infrastructure to simplify and connect processes within organizations. Infrastructure plays an important role in e-Learning since it facilitates access to materials through connectivity. The infrastructure for e-Learning can affect the experiences of system users. Careful consideration of the day-to-day processes related to technology can help save costs. These include maintenance of computer technology and integration of computer technology throughout departments. This chapter discusses the factors which influence technology and practice.
