Caryological Analysis of Single Cell Clones of Tobacco, Relation Between the Ploidy and the Intensity of the Caulogenesis

Popis:	Summary Caryological examinations made by chromosome counting and by cytophotometry on single cell clones, isolated and subcultured on the same medium but differing by their caulogenetic capacity, shows that their capacity to produce buds can be accompanied by wide variations of the ploidy level. However, the ploidy is much less heterogeneous in a caulogenous colony than in one unable to produce buds. The results obtained by the applications of the two methods of caryological analysis are in agreement. The advantages of the use of the cytophotometric method are emphasized.
