Popis: | An equation has been derived for the exposure‐dose rate due to radiation emitted by x‐ray tubes and transmitted through media which absorb all characteristic radiation. The parameters involved in this expression are the operating voltage and current of the tube and the linear‐absorption coefficient and thickness of the absorbing media. Experimental verification of the equation shows that exposure‐dose rates can be calculated within ±6% on a relative basis. |
