Popis: The U.S. Army HC smoke generator has been studied, the investigation including the reagent materials, generation process, and the product gases and aerosol smoke. The reagent material consisted of hexachloroethane, zinc oxide, aluminum. In a series of chamber tests, variations in material composition did not appear to affect the characteristics of the product smoke, but small variations in the aluminum concentration did control the rate of the smoke generating reaction.
