A study of the influence of a gas generator on the aerodynamics of an artillery projectile was made. The intervals of changing of the velocity of the gases outflow and pressure in the gas generator are established, which are leading to minimization of the kinetic energy of the vortex in the back of the projectile. It was determined that the kinetic energy of the vortex in the back of the projectile can be reduced by 15-17%. In this case, a proportional increasing in the firing range of the projectile should be expected. |
