Popis:	SummaryThree hundred and thirteen women were included in the study, all of whom had participated in a random controlled comparison of forceps (n = 162) or ventouse (n = 151) delivery. The study comprised a questionnaire and assessment 24 to 48 hours after delivery and a questionnaire in the second year after delivery. Analysis was by 'intention to treat'. Morbidity in the two groups did not differ, either at the 24 to 48 hour assessment, or in terms of long term problems.
