Popis:	Basing on the experience collected with the breathable plaster-of-Paris jacket described by Koch in 1926 for treating the dorsal type of Scheuermann's disease, we developed two breathable and removable ortheses (Brakeler's jacket and Istanbul jacket). The biomechanical principles action of these jackets were examined both by calculation and clinically as well as roentgenologically.
