Popis: Background: Developing countries are often at the front-line of the consequences of global challenges such as poverty, food insecurity and environmental change. Significant time, money and resources are invested into international agricultural development initiatives by governments and organisations globally as a means to address these challenges. One model of countries working together to deliver agriculture development initiatives is ‘Triangular Co-operation’ (TrC). Given this is a model of growing interest, a scoping review is needed to identify the types of evidence available in this context, to clarify definitions in the literature, identify key characteristics of TrC arrangements and identify knowledge gaps.
Objective: The objective of this scoping review is to synthesise the current literature and examine the key characteristics TrC partnerships in the international agricultural development context (agriculture and rural development and agricultural research for development).
Inclusion criteria: The scoping review will examine all publications (from 1978 – 2022) that report on triangular co-operation as a model of partnership, between low-, middle- and high- income countries working together within the agriculture and aquaculture context for development outcomes. Quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods study designs, systematic reviews, opinion papers from the academic peer-reviewed literature will be considered, in addition to grey literature sources such as government reports, organisation reports, research and project reports, theses and dissertations.
Methods: A three-step search strategy will be utilised in accordance with the JBI methodology for scoping reviews. The search will be conducted in CABI (via CABI interface), Scopus (Elsevier), Web of Science (Clarivate), ABI/INFORM Collection (ProQuest), and Business Source Ultimate (EBSCO), ProQuest Dissertations and Theses and TROVE, with the OECD iLibrary, Google Scholar and Google used to search for grey literature. Screening of the abstracts and subsequent screening of full articles against the criteria will be undertaken by two reviewers. Data extraction from the selected sources will be conducted using a data extraction tool. Descriptive and qualitative content analysis will be undertaken, and results will be organised under main conceptual categories according to the review questions.
