| Popis: | The lifetimes of 50 levels in Nb I are measured with the use of time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence on a Nb atomic beam. We describe the hollow-cathode atomic-beam source in detail. The source is capable of producing an atomic beam, which is rich in metastables, of most metallic elements including the highly refractory metals. |
