Economic Dispatch of the Microgrid with Electric Vehicles

Popis: Microgrids (MGs), which can operate either interconnected or isolated from the bulk grid as one controlled entity, are low voltage distribution networks comprising various distributed generators (DGs), storage devices and loads. This paper proposes a particle swarm optimization (PSO) method for solving the economic dispatch (ED) problem of a MG power system. Vehicles plugged into the MG can be used as mobile storage devices, which supply power to the MG system when the load is in the peak. The experimental results show that the plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) can improve the economic of the MG system.
