Popis: The NQR frequencies of p -chlorobenzene sulphonyl chloride are investigated in the temperature range 100–240 K. Two solid phases have been found in this compound for both of which two resonances have been observed throughout the temperature range, corresponding to the two chemically inequivalent chlorine sites in the molecule. Analysis of the temperature dependence of the NQR frequency difference between two phases and the two sites in the molecule reveals the influence on the NQR frequencies of semi-external molecular motion involving the CS bond at certain triggering temperatures found throughout the temperature range 130–180 K.
