Popis: Our main imaging analysis will focus on the vmPFC region, which is known to be involved in processes of value-based decision making. another set of regions on which our analysis will focus are the faces processing areas, mainly fusiform face area (FFA), superior temporal sulcus (STS) and occipital faces area (OFA). The FFA and STS are of great importance due to their involvement in processing faces, and their dynamic attributes. In order to functionally define these face areas, an independent face localizer task will be used. Another region we will focus on during analysis is the hippocampus, due to its involvement in learning and memory, and the striatum, which via dopaminergic connections to the PFC is involved in valuation processes and learning. Finally the parietal cortex, which was shown to be involved in attention processes, will also be examined. We expect to find differential response in these regions to Go items in comparison to NoGo items, in a passive viewing task, in the training part, where a consistent association of the Go signal and the stimuli is formed; as well as increased activation during probe phase, when subjects will be asked to choose between similarly value item where one is a Go item, and the other is NoGo.
