Popis: The most traditional function of international courts is settlement of disputes between States. Usually this is the only function assigned to the court. Before the International Court of Justice of the UN only States may be parties.1 The sole right given to some international organizations (the UN and most specialized agencies2) is the right to request an advisory opinion.3
