Popis: | In-situ TiN reinforced composite coatings were prepared on Ti6Al4V by plasma spray welding with nitrogen as the transport gas. TiN particles were in-situ synthesized by the reaction of Ti and nitrogen. The composite coatings were characterized by in-situ TiN particles embedded in Ti matrix. The interface between them was clean and smooth. In addition, due to the 13°6′ difference in crystal orientation and the close interplanar spacing, the two crystals could form an almost perfect coherent interface that was beneficial to the performance improvement of the composite coatings. Compared with Ti6Al4V, the microhardness and abrasive resistance of the composite coatings were obviously enhanced mainly because of the existence of in-situ TiN particles. |
