Popis: This article presents an automated method of semantic analysis of patent array, used for patent examination and designed to reduce the time that an expert spends for the prior-art search and for the decision making if the patent should be granted or not. This method is part of a three steps methodology, consists of preprocessing step, statistical analysis and semantic analysis. The method includes: the decomposition of the complex sentence into several small sentences, methods of morphological and semantic analysis of the text, the semantic network simplification, the comparison of semantic networks based on an algorithm Levenstein.
