Popis: | MR imaging performed on 1.5 Tesla system in 39 patients of cerebello pontine (CP) angle lesion were reviewed and analysed. The commonest lesion encountered was acoustic neuroma (n=11), followed by neuromas of IX– XI (n=5), meningiomas (n=5), epidermoid (n=3), brainstem tumour with exophytic component (n=9), glomus jugulare tumour (m=3), chordoma with an exophytic component (2) leukaemic infiltrate around nerve (1). T1 as well as T2W1 were obtained in all the patients in spin echo sequences. The study concluded MRI is an modality for the evaluation of suspected CP angle lesion because of no bony artifacts, multiplanar imaging and superior soft tissue contrast resolution. |
