In Finland cooperation between the industrial and academic sectors is becoming more common. Those from the academic sector help industry by providing new technology. The industrial sector for its part offers academia real and often quite challenging problems. In the academic sector one main problem in this cooperation is: How to serve industry practically? A case study of a portable data acquisition and control station is presented here to indicate how academic research can be quite rapidly transferred to industry. |
