Popis: Kisaura barotensis sp. nov. (Figs. 5–8) Material examined. Holotype male, INDIA: Himachal Pradesh; Barot, 2200 m, 28 -v- 2008, Pandher and Parey, deposited in NPC. Paratype. Collection data same as of holotype, 1 female. Diagnosis. This species is allied to Kisaura longispina (Kimmins 1955) reported from Myanmar and K. sura Malicky and Chantaramongkol 1993 a from Thailand. Comparatively, it is more similar to K. sura in lateral and dorsal views, but its segment IX is very long, the basal segment of each inferior appendage is oval, and the preanal appendages are broad and knife-like, separating it from K. sura in which segment IX is short, the basal segment of each inferior appendage is truncate, and the preanal appendages are thumb-like. Adult male: Body in alcohol light brown, dorsum of head dark brown, legs pale yellow. Length from tip of head to apex of folded forewings about 6.50 mm; maxillary palps each about 1.50 mm long, segment III longer than II; labial palps each 0.50 mm long. Length of each forewing 5.25 mm, its discoidal cell long, about 2 times its width; each hind wing about 4.00 mm long, fork I absent in both forewings and hind wings. Male genitalia (Figs. 5–8): Tergum VIII with rounded posterior margin in dorsal view; sternum VIII with ventral process barely discernible. Segment IX elongate, sclerotized, quadrate, anterodorsally produced and posterolaterally with shallow, rounded excision. Inferior appendages each 2 -segmented, basal segment (coxopodite) oval in lateral view and subequal to apical segment (harpago), but stouter, having two apicomesal lobes, inferior lobe with tuft of long setae; apical segment with curved row of dark brush-like spines on mesal surface in dorsal and ventral views. Tergum X membranous, extending to apices of basal segments of inferior appendages, with lateral spiniform process arising on each side at its base, directed cephalad and then recurved caudoventrad, reaching to apex of basal segment of corresponding inferior appendage and bearing articulated spinelet at apex. Preanal appendages each as long as segment IX, knife-like in lateral view and clavate in dorsal view. Phallus membranous, completely surrounded by tergum X and almost indistinguishable from tergum X when in retracted position, with pair of retracted spines visible almost at median position between preanal appendages. Distribution. INDIA: Himachal Pradesh. Etymology. This species is named after the type locality Barot.
