Popis: | A complex of formula K[ Ni( NH2 CH3 CHCOO)3].3 H2 O has been prepared from nickel(II) chloride in aqueous solution by adding L-alanine and potassium hydroxide. It has been crystallised from DMSO and its structure determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The nickel(II) atom adopts distorted octahedral coordination geometry with three bidentate alanine molecules. The complex is anionic and synthesised in the form of the potassium salt. The network crystal structure shows hydrogen bonding between all the chelate molecules, and each K[ Ni( NH2 CH3 CHCOO)3] fragment contains three water molecules as hydrated water. The geometry of the potassium ion is octahedral. |
