Popis:	Based on decoded satellite images and digital models of relief, large-scale maps were compiled to make a basis for estimating the natural and man-caused transformation of typological diversity of the soil cover of the steppe basins in the Altai-Sayan region. The boundaries and information content of soil contours with amendments from the remote data can be used as controllable indicators when creating schemes of soil-ecological monitoring.
