Popis: | This paper presents further experimental evidence concerning the nature of the amplitude distributions of echoes partially reflected from the D region. Basically, it is shown that the echoes are Rayleigh distributed for virtual heights below 85 km. At the virtual heights of 90 km the nature of the scatterers is predominantly Rician. These results generally support the findings of other workers who were concerned with identifying the type of scattering responsible for the partial reflections. |
