Fine particles are used for production of a number of functional materials, making use of their various advantages for the control of the microstructure to improve their properties or create new functions (Naito et al., 2009). Fine and nanosized particles are prepared using breakdown or build-up methods. A simple and promising process for the synthesis of fine composite oxides and particle bonding has been developed, using a mechanical process that was originally developed for grinding as the major breakdown method. |
