Popis:	Investigation of the upper abdomen by ultrasound was conducted in 97 patients with various neoplasms. 21 patients only showed a normal pattern of the liver. Parenchymatous changes of the liver were observed in 32 patients, deformation in 6 patients and parenchymatous changes together with deformation in 38 patients. 13 patients were diagnosed to have metastatic lesions of the liver, 7 patients were not known to have such lesions previously. Involvement of both kidneys was seen in one patient with Hodgkin's disease. One patient had polycystic kidneys, diagnosed for the first time by echographic examination.
