Popis:	Evidence is presented to support the generalization that gibberellin A1 is the main ‘gibberellin hormone’ that is activeper se in the control of elongation growth in higher plants. The evidence is based on a combination of chemical and genetic studies using single gene mutants of maize, pea and rice.
