This article aims to analyze and discuss the constructions that permeate the sign of the expression "Eu te amo", in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), as an ideological sign given according to Bakhtinian concepts. As methodology, we chose to follow the assumptions of post-critical methodology, for the freedom it allows to establish methods, forms and materials for research, according to need. Thus, as material for analysis, it was used the social networks, Facebook and Instagram, to collect images disclosed in real moments of use, as well as blogs and websites to present the sign in question, being held the analysis and discussion following the authorial bibliographies of Bakhtin, which present concepts about the ideological sign. As theoretical support in discussions involving the world of deaf people, it was based on: Skliar (2015), Quadros and Karnopp (2004), Perlin (1998), Perlin and Strobel (2008), among others, as well as blogs and websites. Therefore, it was found that the sign of the expression "Eu te amo" leaves its specific literal primary meaning field of love, leaving the material plane, starting to reflect other representations / meanings, according to the context in which it is used. Given these asseverations, we arrive at the considerations that, at various times, it becomes an ideological sign by becoming a sign of representation, because it reflects love for his people and everything that is intrinsic to it, such as language, culture, identity, as well as assumes other meanings, of union in times of struggle in search of recognition, respect and breaking of stereotypes.
