Popis: Summary The demand of fresh water to develop life community is very important, where almost all activities is required a water. On Pamsimas Project, to get optimal water source in subsurface, the water layer must be in 30 meter depth with 2 meter thickness. In this case, to answer that challenge, we use Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) resistivity method with Schlumberger configuration to estimate the depth and thickness of groundwater. Resistivity method is one of the active methods in geophysical study based on electrical properties of the subsurface rock by injecting electric current (I) into the earth and record the potential difference (ΔV) produced to the surface. From the results of current and potential difference measurements for each electrode spacing (AB/2) different then be lowered resistivity variations in the value of each layer below the measuring point. This study is located on Sriwungu with SW-01, SW-02, and SW-03. From the result of acquisitions, on SW-01, the water layer is indicated on the depth 30–100 meters with resistivity values 21.1–49.8 Ωm. Then, 2D-pseudosection to know the distribution of water layer in subsurface. With thickness of water layer is greater than 10 meters, it has met the specification of Pamsimas in water exploitation.
