The relationship between gender and learning styles amongst A level modern languages students

Popis: This article describes research conducted with 72 MFL A level students regarding possible links between gender and learning styles. In terms of confirming conventional wisdom, findings only coincided in four areas: ‘male’ risk-taking, spontaneous speaking and self-confidence; and ‘female’ organisation of written work. Gender-linked differences in other areas were not confirmed.
