In-Situ Reaction Depposition Coating of LaPO4 on Al2O3 Fabric Cloth for Al2O3/Al2O3 Composites

Popis:	In-situ reaction deposition, a liquid-phase coating method, was applied to coat monazite (LaPO 4 ) on alumina fabric cloth for improving the uniformity of coating. Coating was characterized for thickness, microstructure and composition by SEM, XRD and EDS. Stability of the coating was estimated by heat exposure at 1200 °C for 48 h in air. The results indicated that the coating is uniform and stable at 1200 °C. The composites using the coated fibers showed good fiber debonding and pullout.
