Popis: 1. The influence of 2% and 10% NO admixtures on the cracking of ethane in the temperature interval 800–900° was studied. 2. In the case studied NO did not show an inhibiting effect either on the general decomposition rate of ethane or on the yield of any of the products. 3. A possible explanation was suggested for the absence of an inhibiting influence of NO on the radical-chain process of ethane cracking at high temperatures.
