Popis: | The authors draw attention to dangerous children's toys – magnetic balls (MB). When MB is swallowed in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), they can connect with each other in chains or are attracted to each other through the intestinal wall, forming necrosis and perforation of hollow organs at the junction. The authors cite four clinical cases of patients aged 2 to 8 years with varying degrees of severity of pathology caused by magnetic foreign bodies in GIT, from spontaneous discharge of foreign bodies during vomiting to multiple perforations of GIT. |
