Popis:	This paper examines the economic rationale underlying the legal regulation of Technological Protection Measures (TPMs) in the context of the DVD industry. The implications that TPMs pose on competition, contracts and reverse engineering are also discussed. The issue of TPMs and Free Speech under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is only mentioned as a collateral issue.
